Hello, everyone. I hope you're all having a good day. I was just talking with a new friend, and she made me want to do 'that' again... By which I mean, share fairy tales! My home has so many fairy tales, and I love telling them to others. So if you'd like to hear one, just say so, and I'll spin a story with you!

Oh, he was! He wanted the best for his son.

While Pinocchio and Jiminy were on their way to school, a devious fox named Foulfellow and a silly cat named Gideon saw him, and they were very surprised to see a living wooden boy. They decided to trick Pinocchio in order to get some money. They told Pinocchio to not go to school, and instead join them to be an actor. Jiminy told Pinocchio not to do it, but he wouldn't listen, and followed the fox and the cat. Foulfellow and Gideon sold Pinocchio to a puppeteer named Stromboli, and Pinocchio's singing and dancing earned a lot of money. But when Pinocchio asked to go home to see his father... Stromboli locked him up in a cage!

[She frowns at the language, but quickly enough resumes.]

Pinocchio cried and cried for his father, and then the Blue Fairy suddenly arrived! She asked him why he didn't go to school, and he lied, saying giants kidnapped him. But when he lied, his nose grew! The more lies he said, the bigger his nose grew, and only by telling the truth would it shrink. The Blue Fairy helped him out of the cage, but said it would be the last time she would help. Pinocchio promised to listen to Jiminy, and to go school the very next day.

A lesson of honesty, eh? He probably needed one.

But some lessons don't always stick...

Foulfellow and Gideon found him again! And they tricked him again! And again, he didn't listen to Jiminy! This time the fox and the cat sold him to a peddler who was collecting naughty young boys. The peddler took them to a special place called Pleasure Island. There, boys could be naughty all they wanted - smoking cigars, breaking furniture, causing fights, and Pinocchio did it all. When Pinocchio began missing his father again, he looked around the island for a way out... but instead, he found that all of the boys... were turning into donkeys!

Pinocchio grew donkey ears, and a donkey tail! But this time, he finally listened to Jiminy, and got off the island before he was turned completely into a donkey. He ran straight home, only to find Geppetto missing. While Pinocchio was gone, Geppetto had gotten so worried and had left to search for him. Now Pinocchio and Jiminy began to search for him, and they found out Geppetto had used a small boat to search over the sea. Pinocchio and Jiminy went to the sea to look for Gepptetto... but then, a giant whale swallowed them whole!

WHY

WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE WHALES]

[and it's going to get so much better.]

It was very scary, because the inside of the whale was very dark. But to their surprise, Geppetto was in the whale too! While looking for his son, he'd also gotten swallowed up! Pinocchio wanted to save his father and Jiminy and make up for all the trouble he caused. So, using the boat, he created a fire, and the smoke caused the whale to cough them up. But then the whale was very angry with them, and chased them up to some dangerous rocks. Pinocchio pushed his father out of the way, and took the whale's attack...

... and when Geppetto and Jiminy found Pinocchio on the shore... he wasn't moving.

[One thing he has to admit: the stories he tells his kids pale in comparison to yours, lady.]

Serves the whale right.

[But then he makes a solemn pause, waiting for her to continue.]

Geppetto and Jiminy were cried and cried... They took Pinocchio home, and laid him to bed. But as they cried, they were visited once more by the Blue Fairy. Pinocchio's quick thinking, courage, and love for his family and friends had proven that he was a real boy on the inside. So she used her magic to turn his wood into flesh... and now he was a real boy inside and out. He jumped out of bed, and hugged his father! They danced with Jiminy all through the night, and they lived happily ever after.

[Crow gives her a bright smile, clearly pleased with the ending despite some questionable content of the story. It was kind of fun!]

A long, long time ago there was a small island. The people who lived there were very poor, but couldn't leave the island, so they had no choice but work for the far bigger and richer city on the nearby shore, sorting the junk that came from it.

One day, a certain man appeared on the island. No one knew where he'd come from, and all he'd do was stand and watch the city in the distance. Day after day, without fail.

Then, he stopped.

He realized what he had to do and found his purpose in life: he began building a bridge to connect the island to the city.

At first, everyone mocked and laughed at him, saying he was crazy for even trying something like that! But the man didn't give up; he continued his work even though others told him it's no use. Observing the man's determination, slowly, people started changing their minds. They thought that maybe, if they all helped him and worked together, they really could do it! More and more people joined in and the construction was quickly becoming reality. Finally, they saw a ray of hope in their lives with no apparent future.

... However, there were people who didn't like that.

What a wonderful way to bring people together! But how could people not like it?

The city didn't want for the island to be free, so the security forced the construction to stop and put the man who'd started it on the top of their most wanted list. Once again, people of the island lost all their hope -- they were certain that all was lost and one person who had managed to guide them towards freedom would rot in jail.

Surely enough, the security soon caught up with the man and cornered him on the half-finished bridge. At that moment, he faced a difficult choice: he could either turn himself in and spend the rest of his life in cell... or he could become a legend. He chose the latter and jumped.

That man, unbound by any law or common sense... flew.
