 [Today in Goldenrod, Minnie is cheerfully walking through the city as her Glameow, Blair, walks by her side. She turns on the Pokegear, video, no longer dressed in anything too fancy, just a simply dress and a simple smile.]

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well! Thank you to everyone who attended our knighting ceremony, I couldn't have asked it to go better! But all good things must come to an end, so I'll probably be returning to my home in Olivine when September ends. Danny, I hope you've been taking good care of the house?

Oh, how time does fly... I bet it'll be Halloween before you know it, and then Christmas, and then New Years... There are so many delightful holidays coming up. But I thought of adding one more to the mix, thanks to a dear friend. Since the knighting ceremony went so well... one day, in the months ahead, maybe we should have a princess day!

Wouldn't it be marvelous~! All us girls could wear beautiful dresses, and I could teach them all the fine points of being a princess! Proper dancing, etiquette, and then we can all trade stories about love and romance!

[She's getting a little too into it now, grabbing her skirt and twirling around - while Blair frantically meows and tries to avoid being stepped on.]

And then we can all hear about the famous princesses in fairy tales, like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty...

((OOC: just so her friends in goldenrod and olivine know, she'll stay in goldenrod until the 30th, and should be back in Olivine by Oct 7th, unless someone wants her later/sooner/whatevs. this is more for keeping track and making sure i don't forget orz))

Well, since we don't have a set time, we have plenty of time to plan it. We could have it in Goldenrod, or Olivine, or maybe even in Kanto! Who knows!

Just remember that getting to Kanto isn't cheap. A lot of people won't be able to afford the trip if they haven't been here long. Goldenrod's probably your best option.

[...why is she saying these things? Oh. Right. Because Minnie is her friend and she wants her friends to be happy even if their ideas send her running for the woods.]

Oh, you're right... And Goldenrod does have the best places to shop. So if anyone doesn't have a dress, we can buy them one while they're there!

You could. It would be easier than finding one in Olivine. You'd have more luck with a swimsuit competition if you held it there.

Not to the people in my hometown. They'd have one some summers, if it didn't rain on the weekends.

[Which, thankfully for Lightning, it did rain a lot during Serah's teenage years.]

The same way you'd judge any other kind of pageant, I guess. I never went so I can't say for sure.

Well, I'll leave that to the professionals. And when it comes to princesses, no one knows more about them than me!

Because you're a queen, right? [She heard Leon and the others mention that a few times, but is still curious about it. Minnie is Minnie. To her, anyway.]

Yes, and before that, I was a princess!

So you know from experience. [a pause. she's probably going to regret this later, but...] So what makes a princess, anyway? They're pretty common in fairy tales but it's never explained.

Normally, you could say that they're royalty, born or married into a royal line, and that they help take care of a kingdom. But deep down, it's something special... every girl who is pure of heart is a princess. They're kind, beautiful, and loved by all.

[There's another pause, this one a bit longer. So that's what it was, huh? Well, pure of heart definitely kicks her out of the line up. Not that she was expecting differently; princesses aren't really fighters and she'd never change that about herself, so...ah, well.]

You meet any of those kinds of girls here? They seem like they'd be pretty rare.

Are you kidding? You're one of them!

[If she'd been eating or drinking something, choking would have gone here. As it is, she quietly stares at the gear for a moment before getting words to form so she can speak.]

Minnie, I'm not princess material. I'm not anything like the people you just described.

[She'll concede to "loved by many" and "pretty" points, but kind and pure of heart? Noooope.]

But you are! You're so kind and wonderful! You always do the right thing, no matter what it costs to your health, and you're so noble and brave! If anyone deserves a crown and title, it's you!

[siiigh] There are people who deserve it more. I just do what needs to be done. That doesn't make me noble or kind or mean it's the right thing.

But not everyone believes that way. It can be so easy to go into darkness, and to make the wrong choices. But you naturally do what is right without even thinking.

[Lightning opens her mouth to say something, and Minnie can undoubtedly hear the inhale, but whatever she was going to say doesn't come. This is turning into a circular argument and she knows it.]

You're not going to back down about this, are you?

Absolutely not.

[She says with a delightful chirp.]

[a small chuckle.] I shouldn't be surprised. You never were the type to back down.

[And Minnie had said they could both be stubborn when they thought they were right, so this really isn't a shock. It's actually nice to know some things don't change. In Lightning's mind, anyway. She can appreciate stability. ..even if it drives her nuts from certain people.]

And I never shall! Sometimes a terrible quality can also be the best quality you have!

That depends on who you're asking. [After all, everyone has different opinions, but she still seems amused. For a moment, anyway.]
