Maleficent sent her minions after him, but with the fairies magic, he defeated them, and cut through the vines and thorns. His pure heart strengthened the magic of the fairies! Maleficent became so enraged, she turned herself into a fierce dragon, almost destroying the castle in her wrath. "Now you shall deal with me, O Prince," she cackled, "and all the powers of Hell!"
