It was another fairy... only this fairy was evil! She was Maleficent, a wicked fairy who only used her powers for darkness. She claimed she was insulted that she wasn't invited to the party, and had her own gift for the baby princess. When the princess turned sixteen, she would prick her finger on a spinning needle, and die! She then laughed, mercilessly enjoying her cruel gift. The good fairies couldn't remove the gift... but the third one could still give her own. When the princess turned sixteen, she would still prick her finer on a spinning needle, but instead of dying, she would fall into a deep sleep, as would the entire kingdom. Only the kiss of true love would break the spell of sleep.
